Health Net does not require authorization for routine in-network outpatient services. Covered routine outpatient services include, but are not limited to:
- Psychiatric diagnostic interview
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Group therapy
- Medication management
Psychological and neuropsychological testing are covered services in most benefit plans. Prior authorization is required for psychological and neuropsychological testing.
Prior authorization is also required for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services.
Authorization requests can be submitted by calling the Health Net Behavioral Health call center and obtaining an authorization request form, which can subsequently be submitted by fax or email. For additional information refer to the Prior Authorization section.
