Urgent Concurrent Review Decision (Behavioral Health)

Any review for treatment that has already begun.* This determination is always considered urgent, with the following exception:

  1. If the request is to extend a course of treatment beyond the period of time or the number of treatments previously approved by Health Net, and the treatment involved does not meet the definition for an Urgent Decision below, default to the Non-Urgent Pre-Service category.

* For Medicare, treatment that has begun within one (1) business day can be considered Pre-Service Urgent.
