The following information does not apply to Individual Family Plan (IFP) members.

Restorative services and supplies necessary to repair promptly, but not replace, sound natural teeth are covered only for members who are federal employees. The need for these services must result from an accidental injury, not including biting or chewing. Additionally, examinations and treatment of the gingival tissues (gums) when performed for the diagnosis or treatment of tumors are covered. A dental and emergency room copayment may apply to these services or exams.
