Notice About No Change to Prior Authorization Extension Due to COVID-19 Variant Posted on August 2021
Provider update 21-629m, No Change to Prior Authorization Extension Due to COVID-19 Variant, was posted online on August 31, 2021. This News & Announcements communication was intended for all providers in Fresno, Kings and Madera counties. It notified you that the prior authorization time span will continue to be six months due to the surge of new COVID-19 cases in California with no expiration date at this time. This notice was a change to provider update 21-423, Prior Authorization Extensions Ending, distributed on June 16, 2021.
