Bill HCPCS G-series codes to avoid claim denials
Health Net will no longer reimburse CPT codes 80320-80377 for definitive drug testing, effective October 1, 2026.
Physicians, practitioners and other providers must bill the appropriate HCPCS G‑series bundled laboratory codes.
What you need to do
- Stop billing CPT codes 80320-80377, effective October 1, 2026.
- Use the appropriate HCPCS G-series bundled laboratory codes
(G0480-G0483). - Update billing systems, charge masters and workflows.
- Educate billing and coding staff.
Why this matters
Claims submitted with CPT codes 80320-80377 on or after October 1, 2026, will be denied.
