26-661 Changes to Authorization Periods for Select Community Supports Services

Date: 05/15/26

Providers must adhere to new authorization periods starting July 22, 2026

Effective July 22, 2026, authorization periods for some Community Supports services will change. If you provide these services, you will need to submit authorization requests more often to prevent gaps in care and service delays for members.

What you need to do

  • Review the updated authorization timelines for each service.
  • Submit requests and extensions on time based on the new limits.
  • Include all required documentation with each request.
