25-959 Mandatory Training for Coordinators of In-Home Supportive Services

This training helps ensure physicians and other providers understand how to access covered services and coordinate care effectively for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) recipients.

All network physicians and other providers, subcontractors, and downstream subcontractors involved in IHSS coordination under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must complete IHSS training.

Key requirements

  • Initial training: Required at the time of MOU implementation.
  • New physicians and other providers: Must complete training during onboarding.
  • Refresher training: Recommended when MOUs are updated or new staff join.

Training is not required annually but should be repeated as needed to say current.

Who needs to take it

Any physician or other provider responsible for:

  • Coordinating care with IHSS.
  • Making or receiving referrals under an IHSS MOU.

How to access the In-Home Supportive Services training

Option 1
