Incentive program rewards $70 to PCPs for using secure, no-cost eConsults to improve specialist access

Health Net, on behalf of CalViva Health, is pleased to announce an incentive program for fee-for service (FFS) primary care physicians (PCPs) who use eConsults to expand access to specialty care.

Earn $70 per eConsult

From October 1, 2025, through October 1, 2026, participating PCPs will receive a $70 incentive for each eConsult submitted and billed. This supports timely access to care and helps meet access standards.

About the program

An eConsult is a secure, asynchronous digital consultation that allows PCPs to connect with a board-certified specialist. These consultations help overcome geographic barriers, improve care coordination and reduce unnecessary testing and visits.

The Plan partners with ConferMED to offer access to California-licensed, board-certified specialists across 70+ specialties. There are no costs to participate, and the referral process is customized to the PCP’s electronic medical record system.
