The Plan’s Medi-Cal contract requires us to complete a comprehensive annual review of this manual
To meet Medi-Cal contract requirements, Health Net, on behalf of CalViva Health, has conducted a comprehensive annual review of the Behavioral Health provider operations manual.
Key revisions
Based on this comprehensive review, relevant sections of the Behavioral Health provider operations manual have been revised as needed to align with Medi-Cal contract requirements and contractual, administrative and plan updates and changes. The sections with changes are noted below:
- Section 2: Important Contacts
- Section 3: Practitioner Responsibility.
- Section 5: Network Adequacy and Practitioner Availability Standards
- Section 6: Member Access to Practitioners
- Section 8: Level of Care and Treatment Criteria
- Section 9: Utilization Management – Outpatient Services.
- Section 10: Utilization Management – Higher Level of Care
