25-285m Empower Patients to Track Their Child's Milestones With CDC's Milestone Tracker App at No Cost

Date: 03/26/25

A fun and easy tool to help busy parents and caregivers track their child’s early development

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed a tool to support development surveillance for children ages 2 months through 5 years.

Parents and caregivers can download the Milestone Tracker app at no cost – in English or Spanish – at
CDC’s Milestone Tracker. Encourage your patients to use it to better understand their child’s skills and abilities, track and celebrate developmental milestones, and share developmental progress with you.

Milestone Tracker app features:

  • Milestone tracker – use interactive, illustrated checklists to look for important milestones and track a child’s developmental progress.
  • Milestone photos and videos – helps parents and caregivers know what milestones look like so they can better identify them in their own child.
  • Tips and activities – support for a child’s development at every age.
  • When to act early – tips and activities for supporting early development and sharing concerns.
  • Milestone summary – a summary of a child’s milestones to share with or email to physicians and other care providers.
  • Helpful resources – local programs that can help support a child‘s development.
  • Appointments – keep track of appointments and get reminders about recommended developmental screenings.
