Advanced access improves patient satisfaction—and meets the regulatory timely access for PAAS
Advanced access is a scheduling model that prioritizes same-day appointments and timely care − helping primary care physicians (PCPs) meet patient needs more efficiently while reducing administration.
Refer to the flyers for details on how advanced access can benefit your practice:
- Patient Satisfaction With Advanced Access flyer (Health Net) (PDF)
- Patient Satisfaction With Advanced Access flyer (Wellcare By Health Net) (PDF)
Key benefits for PCPs
- Increase patient satisfaction with same-day appointment availability.
- Simplify compliance with appointment availability standards.
- Reduce paperwork for qualified PCPs.
Do you offer same-day appointments? Let us know!
If you or any of your PCPs offer same-day appointments or need help setting up advanced access in your practice, email us.
Qualified PCPs will meet performance goal for three years
Qualified PCPs who meet advanced access criteria will automatically meet the annual Provider Appointment Availability Survey (PAAS) for three consecutive years. Qualified providers may still be selected at random to complete the PAAS; however, they will not need to answer questions concerning advanced access.
