24-577 Community Transitional Reentry Program renamed to Female Community Reentry Program
Date: 06/17/24
Improve reentry outcomes for eligible female inmates effective May 6, 2024
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) decided to change the names and abbreviations for the Reentry Programs (REPS).
The Community Transitional Reentry Program (CCTRP) has been renamed Female Community Reentry Program (FCRP) in/on all departmental regulations and forms. This change is to provide consistency and increase equity between the male and female reentry programs and to ensure the target population is accurately reflected in the program name.
This change was implemented in Strategic Offender Management Systems on
May 6, 2024.
FCRP
Previously named CCTRP, the FCRP is a voluntary program that promotes parenting, family reunification, and the development of life skills while addressing treatment needs. The FCRP allows eligible female inmates to be housed in a transitional reentry program in lieu of serving time in prison.
