24-504 Get ready for the 2024 Provider Appointment Availability Survey

Surveys take place July through December 2024

From July through December 2024, Health Net, on behalf of Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley, will be conducting the annual Provider Appointment Availability Survey (PAAS) for our behavioral health provider network. The PAAS specifically applies to outpatient psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and counselors. Our survey vendors will be reaching out to participating providers via email, fax and phone to request information regarding appointment availability. We are gathering this information in accordance with health plan guidelines established by the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), pursuant to the Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act of 1975. You are contractually required to participate in this regulatory survey.

It is critical that our survey vendor be able to reach you, and that you respond to all survey inquiries regarding appointment availability within five business days.

The enclosed Behavioral Health Provider Appointment Availability Survey Guide (PDF) provides helpful tips and answers to frequently asked questions about this mandatory survey. This flyer can help you prepare and answer the survey questions when you are contacted by the surveyor.

Your continued support and commitment in helping the Plan achieve the best results possible for the 2024 appointment availability survey is critical.
