Essential mental health screenings during pregnancy and postpartum add support to members
Effective January 1, 2025, Assembly Bill (AB) 1936 mandates that physicians and other providers include at least one mental health screening during pregnancy and another within the first six weeks postpartum.
If members screen positive for depression or anxiety, please refer them to a behavioral health specialist by calling the number on the back of their medical ID card or by contacting Behavioral Health Provider Services at 844-966-0298.
