23-901 Important Update: Changes to Health Net Medicare Advantage Plans in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties

Effective January 1, 2024, Health Net will no longer offer individual Medicare Advantage (MA) Plans, including Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNP) in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Health Net will continue to offer our employer group retiree MA Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP).

When will Health Net notify members?

Members in these counties affected by this change will receive non-renewal notices by October 2, 2023, informing them of their disenrollment from Health Net, effective December 31, 2023. These letters will also include information about a Special Election Period (SEP) and the available options for accessing Medicare benefits in 2024.
