23-1360 Quarterly Updates on Medication Trends and Formulary Changes Will Be Available Online in 2024
Date: 11/30/23
You can access these updates in the online Provider Library
As a reminder, California Health & Wellness Plan (CHWP) members in Amador, Calaveras, Inyo, Mono, and Tuolumne counties will transition to Health Net Community Solutions, Inc., (Health Net) and members in Imperial County will transition to Community Health Plan of the Imperial Valley (CHPIV) on January 1, 2024. As a result of this transition, we want to ensure you are informed of changes to the quarterly medication trends and formulary changes provider update, as described below.
Starting in 2024, the quarterly medication trends and formulary changes provider update will be available online. This provider update helps keep you up to date on:
- Medication safety issues, including approved or withdrawn medications.
- Changes to formularies and the Preferred Drug List.
Posting this provider update online helps reduce the volume of provider communications you receive from us by fax, mail or email. Fewer communications from us means more time to focus on what’s important to you – your patients.
Find out when we posted the quarterly notice in the monthly provider update
We fax, mail and email a provider update each month to let you know of all the communications that have been posted in the Provider Library in the preceding month. It provides instructions to access the Provider Library and a table listing the communications available online, including:
- Posting dates.
- Material numbers and titles.
- Types of notices (Contractual, Regulatory, Legislative, News & Announcements).
- Applicable audiences and Medi-Cal counties.
- Summaries of notices.
