Consultation enables physicians to provide new patients with preventive care and services.

Physicians can access an initial health appointment (IHA) guide with helpful tips including requirements, exceptions, service codes, and recommendations. The tip sheet (PDF) is available in the Provider Library.

Primary care physicians complete and periodically re-administer IHAs for CalViva Health members. An IHA includes a member's health history, risk identification, needed preventive services, health education, disease diagnoses, and treatment plans.
