As a trusted partner to your patient’s health care, your patients may come to you for answers about health insurance-related plan and coverage questions. Below provides:
- Answers to questions your Health Net patients might have about upcoming plan changes.
- Answers to questions you might have about how these changes impact you.
Additional information will be distributed later in the year about these commercial product transitions.
What plans are transitioning?
Effective January 1, 2023, members who are currently enrolled in 2022 Ambetter PPO insurance plans underwritten by Health Net Life Insurance Company will transition to the Ambetter PPO plan offered by Health Net of California, Inc.1
Additionally, upon renewal in 2023, many Health Net Employer Group PPO plans will be offered by Health Net of California, Inc. instead of Health Net Life Insurance Company and certain Employer Group PPO and EPO plans will retire.1
How does this change impact you?
There are no operational, business integration or contract changes. Your business will continue under the terms of your current Health Net Provider Participation Agreement (PPA). If there are any administrative changes in the future, we will notify you immediately.
When will members be notified?
- Members impacted by this transition will be notified at the end of June that their plan is changing on January 1, 2023.
- Members will have coverage on their existing plan through
December 31, 2022.
Where should I refer members with questions?
