A no-cost resource to support Commercial and Medi-Cal members without a face-to-face visit
Primary care physicians (PCPs) can quickly connect with clinical experts from 30+ adult and pediatric specialists. With an eConsult (electronic consultation), PCPs can send questions, clinical information and supplementary tests/lab works to a specialist through secure digital dialogues. eConsults support PCPs with medical decision-making guidance to initiate patient care immediately.
There is no cost to use eConsults
eConsults are HIPAA-compliant electronic interactions and easy to implement. Benefits of eConsults include:
- Enhances timely access to specialty care. PCPs receive consult notes from specialists within two business days.
- Strengthens PCP-patient relationship.
- Reduces unnecessary specialty care visits and duplicate tests.
- Provides direct access to board certified and California-licensed experts from 30+ adult and pediatric specialties.
