eConsult is an extra resource connecting you with specialists to help your Medi-Cal patients without a face-to-face visit
You can get eConsult support for pain management, other physical health specialties and psychiatry for your patients.
An eConsult is where a primary care physician (PCP) electronically consults with a specialist about a patient instead of referring the patient for a face-to-face visit. Electronic transactions are HIPAA compliant. All specialists you consult with are board certified and California licensed. PCPs receive consult notes from specialists within two business days.

If you do not currently use an eConsult program, Health Net offers fast access through ConferMED, our contracted eConsult vendor. eConsult works with all electronic health records (EHRs).
