21-167 2021 General Compliance Mandatory Training
Date: 03/03/21
This information applies to Participating Physician Groups (PPGs).
Now available through live and on-demand options to help you meet annual compliance requirements
Annual course training is required for select participating physician group (PPG)/management service organization (MSO) team members, current providers and those newly hired. Training can now be completed through live training sessions or on-demand viewing as your schedule allows.
Refer to the course schedule below for a list of courses, the dates they are offered and links to register or view the training. At the end of the training session, you will be directed to a short survey and attestation to document training completion.
Registration and attestation requirements
Either of the following options are available to you, but you only need to complete one.
- Live session – Conducted by a subject matter expert at the dates and times listed below.
- On-demand – A recorded version of the live session can be viewed at any time.
To receive an invite to the live session, you must register using the links in the course schedule below. Register to ensure you are kept updated on any rescheduled training sessions.
All attendees must complete the training attestation. If you log in as a group, submit your own attestations separately to ensure each attendee receives credit. Providers cannot waive required training.
PPG responsibility
Review the courses and requirements listed in the table below and communicate the training options to the target audience. This includes both your staff and all contracted providers in your group(s).
If you have internal training material that you believe meets the needs of one or more of these sessions, please submit it via email for review to Delegation Oversight Training. If approved, we will request training records and attestation of training completion as evidence. Note: Model of Care (MOC) training is plan-specific and the requirement cannot be met by a generalized MOC training. Approval to use a local MOC training will only be granted if it contains the specific Health Net MOC material.
Quarterly, Health Net Delegation Oversight will provide each PPG/MSO with a training roster for each of the required courses for your review. This information will help you track your organization’s progress to meet the training requirements. Full credit will be given once an attestation is received. The attestation must be signed by leadership in utilization management (UM) or case management (CM) to confirm that all members of the target audience have completed training.
Adherence to these training requirements, and completion of attestations, will be evaluated as part of your annual Health Net Delegation Oversight UM compliance audit.
